Procedure to Rebuild a Chimney Cap:
Safety first: dress a body harness and attach to the roof top with at least 8 – 3/16 screws
Remove Cap, Flute and Spark Arrestor.
Cover chimney with tarp or any metal cover that will keep any water out until you bring the new one back.
Install cap first with Drip Galvanized or Stainless Steel screws, then the Flute, and finally the Spark Arrestor
