Many of our kitchen remodel clients come to us with the need to expand kitchens to better serve their family. On our latest kitchen remodel, we focused on expanding the tight, enclosed space between the kitchen and the living room to create an open concept floor plan. We also wanted to upgrade the appliances and finishes for a complete kitchen makeover. The result was a completely different kitchen layout, allowing for more space to cook and entertain.
Our first task was to get rid of the confining walls that separated the kitchen from the living room. After demolishing the walls, you can already see what a difference removing the walls did to the light distribution in the space.
The new, open concept floor plan creates a spaciousness that both kitchen and living room were previously lacking. The kitchen now boasts a large island with room for seating, as well as additional space for cooking and storage
Modern white cabinets and elegant quarts counter tops have replaced the dark wood and linoleum of the original kitchen, lightening the room up even further. A two-toned look is created by the contrast of the dove gray cabinets of the island, which is balanced beautifully by the minimalist blue subway tiles of the back splash.
Sleek chrome pendant lights and gorgeous engineered hardwood floors bright the renovation together.
All in all, we remodeled a closed-in kitchen to a modern, open concept space the home owner loved. If you’re looking to remodel your kitchen, or do a kitchen expansion, we’d love to help. Click here to let us help you build the kitchen of your dreams.
